At Houseplans.com we want you to get exactly the home plan you've been dreaming of. You may find a house plan you like and decide you want to customize it. Keep in mind that sometimes the cost of major changes will exceed the original cost of the plan. That's because the original cost of each plan has been spread over many plan sales, while modifying a plan is a one-time activity requiring an architect or designer's time.

Your customization can be made up of one or multiple changes. Here is a guide to some of the modifications we see here at Houseplans.com.
Minor Custom Change: Add, move, modify, remove or replace a single building component such as mechanical equipment, doors, windows, or a non-bearing wall.
Moderate Custom Change: Add, move, modify, remove, or replace a modest portion of the home such as minor re-designs of rooms and spaces, as well as minor structural changes to entire house.
Major Custom Change: Add, move, modify, or replace a large portion of the home requiring substantial reconfiguration of one floor of the house, such as significant re-designs of rooms and spaces, and structural changes.
Major Plus Custom Change: Add, move, modify, remove, or replace a large portion of a two-story home, requiring the substantial reconfiguration of the house, such as significant re-designs of rooms and spaces, and major structural changes.
